How can I be close to all my family?

Ive always been close to my mums side of family because my mum is really close to her other family,where as my dad isn't,every Saturday I normally go to both my nannans houses,but for my dads mother that's the only time I will see her in a week and compare to my other nannan and how much I see her is ridiculous.I like to be close to my dads part of family but it's hard,I've told my mum how I felt but she never listens and I told her I would rather go to my nannans sometime in the week so then I get Saturday's to myself as I like to do things with my mates.whenever we have a barbecue my mothers family is always invited and never is my dads.I guess I am lucky cause I am still close to my cousins on my dads side,but not as much as I would like to be close to them.
